So I received this package in the mail today, knowing  it was arriving because Art told me it had shipped and gave me the care and initial wearing instructions to break it in properly. I spoke with Art on the phone a couple of months ago and we worked up a plan of what I wanted and then he explained what he could do based on my input.

These pictures were taken with a cell phone and really don't do this justice.  I threw some arrows in for the picture, some didn't have points and some have 3 inch Grizzly's so they look a little out of balance, however it's perfect in size.

this is hand painted:

And of course my 'buddy' Ron LaClair reminds me we have the same initials and I could loose this at camp this fall    :readit:

Art is a sponsor here and his website gives you an ideal of what he can do and costs. Fred ASBELL did a nice write-up of him several issues back in TBM and of course Ron LaClair carries some things that Art makes for his Archery Shop and that's where I first learned of Art Vincent's quality.  Well, I'm just floored by the artistic talents of this master leathersmith. This is gorgeous, however it's made to be worn in the field and thus that's what's going to happen.  If you want to treat yourself....well, just look up in the sponsor section for his contact information.  Thank you Art!!!!

I have a couple pieces of Art's work, one was a gift from Art himself. He does beautiful work.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Art is a great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Texas State Longbow Championship in May 2003. He made me a pocket quiver that I still use. Great guy, marvelous craftsman.

Is Steve setting up his booth or is he coming to shoot?

I'm hoping to be there all day Saturday.

Very nice quiver. I have one of Art's back quivers and I just received my new Cruiser. I shot with a handful of trad guys and most of them have back quivers  and they all whish they had ordered from Art. We all will meet this weekend and I cant wait to show off the new Cruiser.

That is a very nice piece of functional art! Christmas in June you can't beat that. It's also a great way to start out a new season, it will be here before you know it. You get a few months to break it all in.
