Seems like every time I get to thinking I have all the bows I need , somebody sends me a full picture catalog with some very beautiful custom made bows .
It's just not fair .
I don't need another bow , I don't need another bow ......

Gotta start building your own! That won't make the sicknes any better ... It will make it worse.

But it will be cheaper .... At least cheaper per bow .... You'll still find a way to spend all your money on them ...

Ok forget the whole building thing .... It won't help

I feel your pain! I have always been a one (actually 2 identical) bow guy. I think I shoot best when I stick with one bow. I like to have 2 identical bows and I switch witch one is my main bow each year.

BUT after going to the Kazoo expo I had to really fight the urge to order a tall tines 3 piece longbow, a Dwyer Longbow, and a Javaman hybrid longbow. I mean I really had to fight to not do it. My wife even said "go ahead and splurge, other than the northern mist you have not bought a new bow in 8 years" (she doesnt know I have another identical Northern Mist on order)!
There are some Great bows out there that I would love to try. But once I give in Im affraid there will be no stopping. So i will forcefully restrain myself.
Besides its hard for me to ever sell a bow because of my short draw length. for a "normal" person my bows are 70 pounds or more and left handed! So once I have a bow made its near impossible to sell if i ever wanted to clean house.
Those are my excuses and Im gonna fight tooth and nail to stick to it.

There are so many beautiful and well performing bows out there, I hate to name just one kind or make.  I would love to have one or two of each.

But. . . .  I really don't need them, and my wife would like it better if I don't spend all that money (so that she can go to more quilt retreats ! ).

I have a difficult time selling a bow or gun myself, so I have a pile here anyway.  As many know, I switched from righty to lefty a couple years ago.  I still have all my righty bows on the rack. . .  plus all those arrows that no longer fit my new draw length.

One Wife, Many Bows!...

I kinda dig the idea of "identical-bows"... Might be something like being married to identical twins...     ... Now THAT would be interesting...   :D

I just had a good idea !
If I count all my bows on one hand , I will never have more than 5 .
That could just work .
Yep , just counted them , I have 5 bows .
My old math teacher would be proud .   :bigsmyl:

That's why you have two hands, and if necessary 2 feet.

If you see one that looks so inviting, then you have all the justification to say you NEED that bow. Remember to keep things simple and never overthink such an obvious truth, just buy the bow.
Sam

A few years ago, I had 24 bows, my wife said that I had too many and it was messing with my shooting, so I gave 14 of them away and sold two, bought two in the process, so now I have 10 bows, which is 8 more than I need. Now my wife says that I have too many arrows and it is messing with my shooting.  I think I need a new motorcycle.

mcgroundstalker

My wife has a habbit of counting my bows when she goes down into my little man cave... I told her "If you keep the light on, maybe they won't multiply."    :dunno:    Lost count of arrows and shafts... Oh yea, bunch of quivers too... It never ends!  :D
