Glass for the looks, carbon for extra speed. Me, I prefer glass for the wooden look and feel. Carbon becomes to "tec" on a trad bow for me.

The carbon backed one makes for a good looking bow.....  But it looks so high tech   :)   I guess traditional can merge with high tech   ;)

I usually prefer the looks of clear glass, but for some reason with the purple heart I like the looks of the carbon. They are both good looking bows though.

Zbone

tenbrook  - Do you have a source for that carbon backing?

Thanks...

beachbowhunter

If you squint you can imagine the carbon is snakeskin    :D

Same question as Zbone...where are you getting the cross weave carbon?
Ishi was a Californian

Either one looks good to me. But,I also want a bow that will give me max performance. What is wrong with a carbon backed bow with clear glass belly? When I am shooting I see the belly only

Bryan Korte

That carbon rocks.  But I definitely like both and could go either way.
Any day above ground is a good day!

SquareHead

I prefer the fiberglass at first glance because it looks more traditional.

However, knowing myself, over time I would start to like the carbon, just need to see it more.  I am pretty open minded, just slow getting there!

One of these days, weeks, years, etc., carbon will probably be traditional.

Both good looking bows!

Steelhead

The carbon looks very good with the purple heart on that particular bow.Purple and black go well together.

kevsuperg

i like the glass, like to see the wood.
carbon is great stuff, just doesnt have that warm feel of wood.

I just can't see them that well, why don't you send  them to me so I  can see them first hand and make a well informed decision, whatcha think ?

I could go either way, but outta the two pictured I would take the carbon backed bow in a hart beat.

They both are sweet! I'd take the carbon. Looks really nice with the purple heart. Just out of curiosity, what are the specs for each?

Carbon is like a metal riser for me. Maybe I'm too Old school. That's why I like a bow w/ both. Carbon back, core and belly w/ wood veneers to cover that space age looking stuff.

Nice looking bows

katman

shoot straight shoot often

Zbone

Hmmmm.... I don't get it, nobody reveals sources for carbon fiber...

Curious, anyone using carbon/fiberglass, such as carbon backing with glass belly or visa versa?

Thanx
