I have been seeing this deer several times in the past couple of weeks. Each time I see him, I am more interested. We finally got out of single digits today, and I went out and found him trying to get lucky on an adjoining property. He is very adept at not letting me get a good look at his antlers; I always see him a long way off, or right at dark. I watched him make a scrape a few days ago, and this evening, I am going to sit on that to see if I can get better eyes on him. He is a 4x5, the 5th point being a split brow tine. Not a heavy rack, but a big bodied buck that is mature. The feeding deer in the pic is a mature doe, for comparison. The chess game continues.

Good luck, he's a nice one. That doe looks tasty, too.

Hope you get a crack at him. He is a dandy buck! The bodies on those deer up there dwarf the deer down here!

He didn't show tonight, but 4 other bucks did; one weirdo (3 on one side, spike on the other), 2 small 4x4s, and a forkhorn. Could have shot any of these, but I'm waiting on my buddy to show . It is supposed to get up to 40 tomorrow; shorts and t shirt weather!
