Tree Stand Decisions

It seems that I try a new tree stand every couple of years.  I had been using a TimberTall for a couple of years but sold it when I hit the climbing rail with the lower limb.  I replaced it with a Lone Wolf Sit-N-Climb wide.  The in the off season I picked up a used Guido's Web seat/harness/stand and a set of climbing sticks.  Super comfortable to sit in.
Unfortunately I cannot use the climbing sticks and Guido's Web due to my bad hip.  Although I like the Lone Wolf, it is heavier than my old TimberTall.
I am trying to sell the Web and then maybe the Lone Wolf.
In the mean time I was thinking about ordering a new TimberTall but that could mean I end up with three stands.
Anyone else here have multiple climbers and why?

I have a ladder stand, a climber and a hang-on, primarily because I haven;t taken the time to try to sell the ladder stand and the climber.

I have 2 Summit climbers & 9 hang on stands. 2 Loc ons, 1 Millenium, 1 Summit and 5 cheapos.
How do you get by with only 1 or 2?

I have five cheap hang ons, and a 1994 model Ol Man that I'm sitting in right now, along with two blinds. If I could only have one it would be a climber, probably the Treewalker SL.

I have eight hang-ons and one climber. Six are in tree's right now. I couldn't get by with only one or two.

I have 8 Rivers Edge hang-on, 4 Gorilla hang-on, 1 giant Big Game hang on, 1 Big game ladder, and 2 Lone wolf hang on.   I use every one of them along with about 30 ladder stacking steps and 200 tree steps.

I have 8 climbers...all but three of them are in the woods now. I couldn't even tell you how many hang-on's and ladder stands we have on various properties.

My favorite stand to sit in is my Tree Lounge, hands down. But it's weighs a ton and I dislike the tiny standing platform. A summit is my favorite for light weight to pack in. We have a bunch if two man ladder stands and they are great if the deer are directly in front of you...it's a chore to position yourself to avoid the rail in the back when shooting behind you.

I prefer hang-on stands for most applications when bow hunting. There's very little to interfere with the lower limbs. They aren't comfortable and the seat can still get in the way at times. But at least you aren't surrounded by a rail to interfere. We just buy the el-cheapo ones on sale at WallyWorld or dunhams.

Seems like ALL stands have some bad points to them.

The Millenium is the most comfortable I've ever been in. I use my Loc ons for packing in cause they are 10 # and the Millenium is 17 but I like it for sitting a while

I made the decision to get rid of mine. To much junk that goes with them,not to mention getting all strapped in.

Now don't take it personal guys, just responding to the thread. I have climbed my share of trees, even killed some deer from them.
I am just at the point in my life where simple is good. And it does not get anymore simple than on the ground.

I was very disappointed when I actually tried the Web with the climbing stick and discovered that my hip would not hold up to the climbing.  I had set it up and practiced with it from the ground and really liked how it hang, how easy it is to move and shoot in all directions, etc.  At 8#, you don't even realize you are carrying it on your back.
It would make a great ground blind stand but I only hunt the ground once in a while.
