Well, I gotta say this bow surpassed my expectations in design. Everyone kept saying heavier weight riser but, this bow is no way heavy! Maybe it's the woods but, it is no where near the weight of my PMA or Cornstalker. My 14yr old was even surprised by the lightness of it! I have a smaller hand and the grip and feel of this riser are in perfect balance for me. I have not held a recurve in a long time that just speaks to me like the Bighorn. It will be a keeper if it shoots as good as it feels and looks.

Beautiful bow, I really like the choice of wood.

Ok, just a cursory tuning to see how she shoots. Set brace at 8", AD Trad Lite cut to 29.5" b.o.p., I'm pulling it to 28.5". I started with 125gr, 150gr and 175gr tips and the bow really responded with the 150gr tip. So, that is were I will shoot. The bow is 44# @ 28" and my arrow weight is 466gr. I think I may have just become a convert!     :scared:

Will be doing just that come Nov. 22nd! That is our late blacktail season here in Oregon and the Bighorn will be the weapon of choice. Perhaps for all hunts there after too!   :bigsmyl:

Hey, that is a good looking bow.  I have one I got 23 years ago.  I got it just after G Fred sold the company.  I've been wondering if they are still around.

I shot one at the Fall Rendevous in Florida back in August. Well that set me back $800! Myself and 2 friends shot 4 different spined arrows and all flew great. Quiet and dead in the hand. I am now on a 4 bow rotation when I go hunting! That way everyone(bow) gets a turn.

Nice looking bow.
