Strap on quiver for 3 piece?

My bowyer recommended a limb bolt quiver for my three piece longbow instead of the strap on Boa I have used in the past. He was concerned about the quiver affecting the working portion of the limb.  Do you guys try to avoid strap on quivers on three pieces or do you notice a difference?  I am using the Great Northern quiver which is nice but it is kind of noisy compared to the other strap on quiver.  It does seem that the arrows may slow a little with the strap on quiver. Appreciate your input. V/R...

I use a thunderhorn lynx and I have no issue with my Tall Tines.

I have used quite a few different strap-ons and lately like the GN.

They are well built, don't come loose, and smaller profile than the Selway for example.

Some of my three piece recurves have the Boa or Two Point limb bolt mount. Both those models are a work of art and function nicely.

Big Jim's quivers stay put, are priced economically, nice and small, and light weight too.
His wiggle around a bit as you load and unload arrows, but that shouldn't be a bother as they are very structurally sound. (doesn't bother me)
Perhaps he designed his type of mount so that it flexes at the shot on purpose?

Never really noticed that any of my bow quivers affecting arrow speed or noise, but I am probably just not sophisticated enough to notice a difference...on or off.

For me, I just think a bow quiver is so handy and safer too. I like being able to have the arrows solidly mounted close to the bow rather than having to reach around into a back quiver or any other kind and not be able to really see what I am grabbing.

I guess I do use my Safari Tuff if like a bunny hunt where one needs more than four arrows.

Kinda more than you asked for....sorry.

If you strap it to the riser it shouldn't make any difference. You never want to strap on the working part of any bow limb . That said I use a limb bolt quick detach Great Northern on my three piece bow.

Thunderhorn on all my bows.  I prefer the one with the rod but also use the two piece model.  Great quivers

I used a Selway for years, but it would not fit the trade bow I received from BeachBowhunter. I ordered the medium size from Big Jim and love it. I put the straps as close to the bolts as possible on the limbs which is at the beginning of the wedge taper. If there is any bend it's not much and I see no difference with my shooting.

Earlier this year, I picked up my old, old Kwikee Quiver that attached to the limbs and played with it.  It did affect my arrow flight.  To work properly, I had to ensure that the quiver was right up against the riser and not in any of the working parts of the limbs.

But, I have my bows built with inserts on the side for a "bow sight."  That's where I install a small block to accept a Bohning Lynx Quiver.  I like that because it's quickly detachable.

Keep the straps on the limb wedges and you will have not issues.

I use a Great Northern strap-on quiver on my Black Widow PSA IV Ironwood takedown and it works great. It does not effect the bow and the way it shoots however, it fits nicely on tbe riser of the bow and does not touch the limbs.

EFA strap-on for me.  On the limbs right up against the riser.  I think it makes a bow quieter, myself, but I don't start tuning till I have it on.  It does seem to have some very small effect on bow performance, in terms of arrow spine.  No effect on the way the bow shoots once the arrow is tuned, though.

EFA is my choice also.  Love their 5 arrow.
