Was trying to get a feel for the Zwickey broadhead model to use. Looking for a 125-135 weight head and how easy are they to sharpen.2 blade screw in model is what I'm interested in. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

I believe Zwickey only makes one their broadheads with the screw in adaptor in the weight that you're looking for, "Eskilite broadhead". The Eskilite broadhead is around 110 grains without the screw in adaptor glued on. They are 2 and 4 blade, and both weigh 135 grains. But check with 3 River's website to make sure what I said was right. Good luck and happy hunting!!   :archer2:

They also have the No-Mercy heads in a 130 screw in. Kustom King sells them also $17.25 for a 3 pack. Eskilite is 135 grain and  $16.60 for a 3 pack. Good luck this season.

That's what I'm using and all I found.     :dunno:  Nobody around here or at Cloverdale had those other ones.

Check again Steve, They are showing 165 grain from what I am reading. Maybe without the screw in adaptor glued in.

I've shot two blade Delta's a lot. On my scale with the short aluminum adapter they weigh in at 175 grains give or take a couple of grains. File and strop or an Accusharp and you can get them sharp easily.

Longbow,
Greetings from across the river.
I am shooting the EskiLites with an adapters for a weight of 145 grains.  They sharpened nicely on an Arkansas stone.

ive shot deltas for over 30 years, but as said above they are 135 grain and 175 grain when mounted on a screw in adapater, very easy to file sharpen then strop to a razors edge

John,
I have shot them all, and they are all killers. They fly well and sharpen easy. 3 layers of steel up front in case you get into bone and you won't have to remortgage the house to buy a half dozen.

I buy the glue-ons and then get the adapters in the weight I need to make the total weight work.

I like the Delta's, preferably with the bleeder blade, which I modify.

     This one didn't kill anything......

 Take care buddy.

I agree with monkey, they all work.  I've been shooting the 4-blade and 2-blade deltas for a lot of years.  I think they're also a bit easier to sharpen than the Eskimos and Eskalites because of their straight  rather than convex edge profile.

Eskilite 2 blade, 135 grain screw in, fly right with the 125 grain field points out of an old 40 lb Bear Tigercat.

Been using 135gn(+or-) 4bld. eskilites w/50gn brass adapter & 1"alumin. footing for 200gn(+or-) total up front. Fly great, sharpen easily w/ Rada wheelie sharpener & leave good size holes on both sides. Cheap too!

I've killed both deer and elk with the Eskimos and deltas. Both shot as two blades. I now shoot the grizzly Kodiak and seem to get MUCH better blood trails with the single bevel heads.

John , I just received Kustom Kings catoloug and you are correct they are 170 screw ins and 130 for the glue on. Sorry for the miss information.

Two blade Deltas all the way!

I straighten the factory sharpened edge, out of the box they come slightly concave, this allows for easier sharpening & honing.

Hard to go wrong with any Zwickey.  If were resigned to hunt with one head the rest of my days...it would likely be a 2 blade Delta.

ZD4 plus 125gr adapter plus split shot tapped into the ferrule gives me 265grains.

Wow great stuff guys, like all these ideas. Will the 11/32 Deltas fit my GT 5575 or would the  5/16 Eskalites fit better? Shooting a LS Slammer 50# 28.5" draw GT 5575 30" with 50gr. Inserts.

Delta 4 blades mostly...and have a couple of No Mercy 4 blades in case I'm hog hunting and run into a bigger hog.
