I bought a new (to me) blackwidow off of a classified ad on another forum. The gentleman I spoke to sent me a copy of the shipping receipt with a tracking number, I quickly got online and saw that it had been shipped priority 2day shipping and the expected arrival date was the 18th...
I sat all morning on fri waiting on the mail and it didn't arrive. When i rechecked the tracking it showed that it left the post office in Va on the 17th but no update to the tracking since then. I called the customer service line today and they were surprised that there was no update to the tracking and that they would conduct an "investigation". Needless to say it never showed today....
I'm trying not to but I'm starting to worry a touch...

If it's USPS their tracking is awful.  If it doesn't show up Monday I would get back on the phone.

It's probably just USPS fault.  Give it a few more days.

I just had a  bow take 4 days longer than their anticipated date. sometimes big or awkward packages can be taken off a  belt and set aside.

be patient but still bug them a lot. good luck.

I have had a couple of times in the past couple of months where Priority mail has taken longer then the 2-3 days.I mailed some arrows and it took about 6-7 days past the 2-3 days it usally takes. They blamed it on the father's day overload.I ship a bow a couple of weeks ago and it took 4 days longer then the expected 2-3 day delivery.I even went to the post office to see if they could tell me more then the website. They told me to give a few more days, the 2-3 day is not a guarantee. But they both arrived safely it just took a few extra days. You can't help but think something is wrong when it takes longer then expected.

Yes JRY,those arrows were a question mark weren't they......

I really have had no problems with the USPS in the past but lately they have really been dropping the ball.

They really should leave you know that the tracking#  program is a "maybe" at most.

Oh well,at least they give you $50.00 free shipping insurance now included with the price....problem is, if that is not enough, you have to pay from the very beginning . Hmmmmm?

                                 Good Shooting,

I have had a couple things take a few extra days lately. Hopefully that's all it is.

Now, I'm gettin' twitchy.  No updates from USPS since the package was in Aurora, CO.  Grrrrrrr.

Hope yours arrives soon.

I bought something recently from Kentucky that the USPS brought to my local postal hub, then abruptly re-directed it to somewhere in California!  I was frustrated, but it eventually arrived... although about 2 weeks late.

That bow should be in before too long.  And you'll breathe a big sigh of relief!

Got word yesterday that it made it to Columbia.  And I spoke to the lady at my local post office, who was very helpful. I'm not quite as torn up about it like I was, and hopefully it'll make it here soon...

I hope. lol

I hope it all works out and soon. I would not use USPS to ship anything, ever.  The tracking system is useless as it gets.

Unless it has changed since I was there, it was rare that you could find something lost by the delivery confirmation number.  You probably would find a few places it had been enroute but that was about it. Originally, it was set up as a delivery confirmation service- not a tracking service.

However, I still use Priority Service when shipping.  I have never lost anything  or had breakage with a well packed parcel. Can it happen ?  Sure.  But I will take my chances.  They (shipping companies)  all have failures.  At least I can go into the the local Post Office and talk with somebody about it.

I have found to Post Office to be very reliable. They are the only shipper to have never lost any of my stuff coming or going-ever; Fedex and UPS have each lost something.
Does not matter who ships, or how you pack always insure!
