Bohning Crester

I am interested in a new Crester and was looking at Spin-Rite and the new Bohning. I did a search and found a bunch of information on the Spin-Rite but nothing as to how the new Bohning performs. Has anyone used the Bohning? If so what are your impressions? Thank you for any information.

I know 3 Rivers is giving the Bohning a solid recommendation. The variable speed is a very desirable upgrade and not an option on the Spin Rite or Phillips cresters.

If I had a nickel for every arrow that I crested with the Bohning Pro crestor I would be able to go out and buy the best custom bow made. It ran well,no issues,when the rubber collar gets worn it is easily replaced.

With all that being said it will not give you a straight line with a "not straight" shaft. I know some of the others do,which is a nice feature. Hope it helps.

I will also say this about cresting a non straight shaft. If it is crooked enough that you can't get it straight before cresting  it then it should go in the garbage. If it has a crook that has already been sealed and painted you will have a crooked arrow forever.

Don't know about that one John. Mine was the Pro crestor. As far as getting it straight before cresting goes,that was always done, you will still find out that sometimes what you thought was straight is not after you crest it.

Thanks for the responses. I know that a shaft must be straight and what happens when you try to crest a not so straight shaft.I am curious as to the ease of use, adjust-ability, and overall thoughts of this particular crestor. I currently use the Pro Crestor and sometimes get wobble from the crestor and not the shaft. Tried lots of things to correct this small issue but so far no luck. So there fore I'm trying to decide if the Spinrite or the Bohning would be a better deal.Thank you again for your responses and any further information you may have.

I asked the same question a while back and everyone said that the spin rite was the best.  I have not purchased one as yet so I'm curious to see if there is change in opinion.
