X-2..only no shorter and preferably 64".

Before my time, but I'd like to see Root Bows back. That's where the Necedah (great bow) came from.

The Kodiak Hunter is another great bow that is no longer made, but there really is no shortage of them available.

A Bear factory "replica" of the 60" and 64" 1969 Bear Super Kodiak, custom to draw weight and finish, would have people lining up on a 2 year waiting list for $799 per bow, myself included.

Also, if Bear made the 66" 1963 Kodiak Special with brown glass "'59 Kodiak" limbs or "Grayling Green", it'd be the bow guys with 29-30" draws and bigger hands wanted once they shot one. But for the white glass, the '63 Kodiak Special one of the a super bows of all time, as is the white limbed 1958 Kodiak. The '58 Kodiak, another bow, that if done in brown or green, would be a bow of legend.

I second the Redwing Hunter. Gave my dad one from **** a few years ago in 50# but would like one in 40#. I shot one years ago and it shot better than I did!

Funny thing about Groves. I found out a few years ago that my Aunt dated Harold Groves when I was younger.

I'd like to see our country come back.  Like President Reagan kind stuff.  I'd like to see the deer herd come back in Illinois....and I'd also like to see forgewood shafting come back.  Probably a lofty list!

Along with what many of you have said, I would love to see the easton autum orange shafts again. Always loved them.

I really am one to appreciate good humor, and all the input. But I have a good reason for asking questions like this. As I stated in the opening post, I was looking for BOW designs that aren't being made any longer and most of the replies reflected that.  Some not even archery related, but again, I appreciate the humor, thanks, really, but it wasn't what I was after.

When it pertains to my Business, I often look to the opinions here on tradgang to give me ideas/directions.

Hey Mike, I didn't even notice that it was a bowyer that started this thread.  I tried to come up with something funny to put on my first post the other day, but as it turns out, I'm not funny.

I noticed that several guys, myself included mentioned the good old Red Wing Hunter.  I'd be glad to loan mine to you to use as a pattern.  I'll also volunteer to test out your prototype for you.    :D   Let me have one with bocote riser, brown glass, and mid 40s @ 28" for three months and I'll get you some good feedback and maybe even sell a couple for you.  I shoot with a couple of "old timers" that aren't on here (not internet compatible) that have a lot of experience with that model.  One of them got me in to trad archery and the RWH was his first recommendation when I started looking at used bows.
