I'd like to see more use of coloured glass, brown and green specifically.  The Great Northern bows on the back of TBM look spectacular with green glass!

I'll throw one more out there.  Not sure if this counts as a "bring it back" or just a simple request, but anyway.

Companies like Howard Hill and a few others offer unfinished, tillered blanks of popular models.  I'd like to see that option available for a youth bow.  I have made a habit of building my boy a Christmas gift each year.  First year was a Baltic birch rocking horse, last year was a chalkboard/whiteboard easel.  Not sure what this year will bring, but I am thinking next year, he'll be just over 3 and a longbow may be appropriate.  I do not have the shop space nor the time to build forms and ovens but would love to have a hand in crafting him a laminated glass bow like Dads!

Unfinished tillered blanks?  all you have to do is ask, I've sold them before.  If a guy's a bit handy he can save himself a few bucks.

It seems like a lot of good bows were made before my time. (I'm 27). I would like a custom Bear take down though.

I agree with you on these.  They go along way but unfortunately kids don't seem to have them these days.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

Bowwild

You know, I've racked my  brain. There are no bows of old that I would rather have than the new customs being made now.

I started to write the Type 1 Custom Kodiak in A riser configuration. But, the new Bear TDs are just as good.

Return to a 3 deer season limit not 8 deer!
I remember wool before there was thinsulate and goretex and fleece I'm good with the modern gear and bows the primitive gear and bows are still available but to me the hunted woods and camp experience has evolved somewhere less desirable...

Bowwild,
Come on, the 1962 Kodiak Special with that fabulous sea foam green glass, Brazilian Rosewood riser and ultimate grip doesn't float the boat just a little bit?    ;)
