Well, a few months ago I had got to my goal of 60 plus pounds at my draw comfortably. Bought used and new bows, life was good. Woke up one morning went to work and had an unusual pain start that by lunch time had moved around my body and became nearly un bearable. Went to ER and ended up staying for 7 days! Acute renal failure aka kidney failure. High blood pressure, smoking, and too many over counter pain meds for head aches caused this. I'm slowly recovering use of my kidneys. I've lost about 40 lbs. in a month or so amd a lot of muscle mass. I cant even come close to reaching anchor with my sig, bows, they will soon be up for sale, a couple hardly shot. Good thing is since my admit day I haven't touched a smoke! Clean since 28th of May! Take care of your self guys , it can happen so fast! So I'm starting over with lower pounds bow. Thanks for listening to my rant.

Pat B.

Man, sorry to hear that but sure glad you're making a recovery...

BTW, you don't need 60 pounds anyway...
I shot there for the last year or so and have back off..  I guess too old for that, or too scrawny !!

Glad you're out of the hospital, and on the other end of this ordeal David.  Prayers for your continued recovery!

Just because you are passionate about something, doesn't mean you don't suck at it.

I would hang on to the bows until I got back up to that draw weight.  Just me.

Hey rat, that's the funny thing about all this, 3 packs a day to nothing with no help of any kind and no desire to smoke!

Josh Perdue

Hope you get feeling better buddy. I'm trying to quit the snuff now. You will be back to shooting in no time.

Good luck with the recovery.  I'm kind of in the same boat.  Form some ligaments in my left arm the day after I received a new to me TS Mag.

God speed with your recovery, David.  I know where there might be some lightweight loaner bows to help get you back to 60 lb.  What's your draw length?  How much weight do you think you can handle?

Prayers for a quick recovery.  I agree with the other posters, though - hold onto your bows and work your way back up!
