Pat B.

Pig's and pig sign has been pretty much non existant around here lately..

Last night we had 3.5" of much needed rain and today the temps were back down in the low to mid 60's.. I thought it was a perfect evening for a hunt.

I walked through the briars and thickets for quite a while when I finally saw 3 pigs come out of the woods and swim the swollen creek. They stopped in some berry thickets, low growing vines. They were doing some fine berry picking when I eased into range.

I was shooting my JD Berry Renainssance that I've had from several years, it is 66" and about 51 pounds at my draw. The doug fir arrow buried to the fletch in the pig. I knew he was done for.
Long walk for an old guy !

I was wondering when we'd see another hero pic!  Nice hunting.  What model Berry were you carrying?

Congrats on another nice hog, and glad y'all got some of that rain.  We managed to pick up 5.25" over the past few days.....something we have not seen for at least 6 years.

Hadn't seen one of your posts for a while, I figured you had killed all the pigs in Texas. I guess at least one was left. Congrats on some more pork.

It's been a while since I've seen a pat b post.  You need to give those pigs a breather once in a while or you won't have any to hunt.

Congrats on the pork.
