Bear Red Bear youth bow questions
« on: April 01, 2014, 08:02:00 PM »
I recently picked up a Bear Red Bear youth fiberglass bow and need some info. I did an internet search but came up with nothing. May end up calling Bear Archery. It's red glass with a black rubber duel shelf handle.  Only info on bow is the name and the AMO length, 50 inches. Does anyone know the poundage, draw lengths for this bow? Recommended ages for this bow? What is the recommended string length? I'm thinking 47 inches for 50 inch AMO. Thanks.

I think that's the same bow my folks gave me for my tenth birthday.  No idea, I'm afraid, on the specs, though.

The catalogue I have doesn't list the weight on the Red Bear Bow. It just has 50", ideal for Juniors. The next step up is the Green Bear 56" the listed weights of 25,30, 35, 40 and 45#.

arrow30 is right. Very light draw weight. 15# at most.

I also had one when I was 10 or so.  Lots of fond memories and lots of lost arrows!  I wish I still had it.  I agree that the draw wt couldn't have been more than 10-15 lbs.

Very old post. But thought I’d also inquire 11 years later.  I was looking for the same info.  I’m thinking I had a bow like this in 1989 approx.  I looked in a sears fall catalog and found this.  Is it made by bear?
