Looking for a source for good quality wool pants.

Would like them to have cargo pockets camo or non-camo okay.

Tim in Wa.

Filson and LL Bean each offer nice wool pants.  Filson's have cargo pockets. Of course, the camo stuff from KOM and Gray Wolf also have cargo pockets.  A little pricier though.

Tim,

Thank you my friend. This is what I am looking for.

Thanks Orion. I am trying to stay away from the really expensive stuff.

X2 on the Spirit Horse site-CCSutlery.  I picked up a pair of cargo pants a couple of years ago-they are great.

Sportsman's Guide is great, when they have surplus wool.

Phil, do you know what wool the your pants are?
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Cabela's has a sale on their Legacy wool cargo pants right now; I bought a pair last year, and they are very nice; Really nice for the price of the sale.

Always worthwhile to check out the local Goodwill store.  Can sometimes find some very nice wool garments there at extremely good prices.

Walt,

If you mean weight, no, I'm not sure of the weight.  They are soft and comfortable, the best I can do.  They are very nice folks and will work with you, give them a buzz.

Justin.. where ?  It says that for the vests and coats, but I don't see that on the pants.  BTW, their vests look great too !

You should also check out the Stormy Krommer web site. Ive got a pair of their pants and also hats. The pants are real comfortable and wear like iron. Been abusing a pair for 4 years now and still look new. Down side is they are not cargos.

Justin Falon

Never thought about that but will check them out now. Home from work (waiting for the mailman)!!!

I saw 21 oz on the coats. I guess I just assume pants were same. I spent about 30 minutes talking to the guy today and he told me that the pants and the coats are made from the same wool.

On Teresa Asbells' site 21-24 oz wool is lasted as "heavy weight".
