First trad. Longbow duck!

Today I decided to do some stumping along a creek. I was hoping to see a buck or squirrel , but wasn't planning on it. Well about a mile up the creek I see some ducks in the middle! And I just happend to have a duck stamp! I stalked my way up on them , trying not to spook them off the water , and got to about what I guess was 20 yards.

I got ready to take the shot, and was actually nervous. My glasses we fogging up, an I was a mess!  I calmed my self , to aim , drew and sent the arrow on its way. Smack! I hit the duck!  I almost couldn't believe it , I know it's just a duck but six years with a bow and no traditional kills I was still excited. Well the duck spun around and swam over to the bank, got out and went to his eternal sleep. I thanked god for finally blessing me with a harvest.

I took the duck with my brand new hill Style longbow, made for me by maddog. This bow shoots awsome, and gave me and epic hunt! Anybody help me post pics?

Well they are wild and tame. The game ones are solid white with a red face according to twra , and the wild ones are black. It was mixed in with some mallards so I assume this one was wild. It sure was wild when that arrow hit it!

We have wild ones here around Old Hickory lake though they are non-native and considered to be exotic by the TWRA. Brandon where did you take yours? Congrats!

On  TVA land near Patrick Henry lake it's also the first duck I have ever killed.
