I had a similar experience many years ago not too far from you. Luckily for me, both of the deer were of the smaller southern whitetail variety and I was a strapping 22 year old. I managed to carry one on each shoulder 3 miles back to my truck. I can't say it was easy, but it wasn't as difficult as carrying out some of the mulies I've shot. Nowadays though, I think I would throw my back out trying to carry a quarter on each shoulder. Ain't getting old fun?

Conversation at work even went a little south, one of the guys thinks I'm cheating in some way. Funny, the guy I took hunting jumped him pretty hard, said yep he's cheating, no bait and using a stick, everyone laughed pretty hard.

As it is with politics and religion, some people will never be converted. But you did get a pig, 2 deer and 1 new convert out of this. I'd say you did very well. Give the other guy some space and let him stew awhile. He may yet come around especially if you and the other guy continue to do well.
