VPAs hunt ready?

I am thinking about buying some and just wondering if they are ready to hunt sharp, or do you guy's that have them touch them up? How do they fly? Are they easy to sharpen ?And I am looking at getting the 200s. Do they leave a good blood trail? I usually shoot  2 blades and just wanted to try something different. Thanks for your in advance for your help.

I've never used them but the reviews I've read on here are all very, very positive--To the effect that they are the best 3 blade available. Those comments have made me want to try them also.

They are almost hunt ready. Run them lightly down a 12" file and then over a ceramic or diamond rod.

I recently ran out of my "go to" broadheads and made the switch to VPAs.  
I prefer to sharpen all my broadheads before hunting including the VPAs.  In my opinion, the are very easy to sharpen.

I can only speak for the 3 blade at this time...

they are my favorite 3 blade.  I have tried most of the Bh on the market and their 3 blades are the best and the easiest to sharpen.  I do carry both 3 blades and 2 blades in my quiver though:)

They are easy to sharpen. I am two blade sharpen challenged, trying to eyeball blade angles never works out for me and I don't have a kme. The vpa three blade just requires a big file, or small if you savvy and something to polish it up with like the ceramic rod. So easy even I can get them sharp.

VPA's are super easy to sharpen. If you want my method you can PM me. As far as blood trails they flat out open deer up. On all of the deer I've shot with them they have left a channel...not a 3 blade cut but a hole from entrance to exit.

There are two basic heads made by VPA...three blade Terminator and two blade Penetrator...they both fly like darts...not sure what one would want to do that they will not do

Fly great out of my bow, fairly sharp but need to be touched up before hunting with them. Mine are 150gr 3 blade.

I would not say they are ready. Like Ryan said they are a great head though. I have taken several animals with them. I find them to fly very very well. They are deadly as any head out there. I also find them very easy to sharpen.

To be an ethical hunter consider no C on C broadhead huntable out of the box.

Others have said already said it, but to answer the original question...No I wouldn't hunt with them out of the box.  That being said they're by far my favorite broadhead and I can get them to a hair popping mirror finish in less than 10 minutes with my "method".  A quality file and a ceramic rod or diamond stone are all you need to get them shaving sharp, but I prefer to finish mine with a leather strop and jewlers rouge before taking them to the woods!

I am fairly sharpening challenged and have went to VPA's exclusively because I can sharpen them. They really leave a great blood trail.

No, not hunt ready.  But the bevels are ready for easy sharpening.
