Get a load of this!

Cruising a popular classified site @ 4 am this morning I come across a post for a Bear bow and 5 dozen arrows for $80. I figure it got posted late last night. It is a loacal posting so I thought I would call about 8 am..... Too late it was sold.

2 pm I am getting ready to go for an evening hunt I get a call. "You the guy that wanted the bow? well i still got it"

I jump in my rig and head south to this guys place. The bow is all taped up with old camo tape but the glass is green.....what I can see of it. There is a stack of arrow boxes and he shows me the top box, a dozen old cedars....never shot, all old bear green razorheads. I was impressed but not enough to take my attention from the bow.


The bow appears rough, lower limb had a twist and I showed the seller. We shoot the breeze a bit and I tell him to call the other guy back, I was not going to buy it. not looking to hardball I really didnt want to part with 80 bucks.

He says his phone has been ringing off the hook with calls as far away as Florida and if I would give him 60 bucks he would wash his hands of the whole mess.

Well......ok. I hand him the money and say lets see what we got. I peel th tape back.....Kodiak, #45.... not sure of the year yet. I will have to research.

Well I hurry with all the goods out to my rig because I am still hoping to hunt. I make two trips with all the arrow boxes and I am on my way.

Wow I get home and peak at the boxes. 3 never opened bear ceder arrows with greenies. Got over 4 dozen greenies in the deal plus other interesting nuggets.

This stuff never happens to me.    :D
