A lot of you have met our first grandchild Jorie, either thru threads here or at Cloverdale. Jorie got the archery bug early and started shooting a snaky osage bow I made for her when she was 3 1/2. She shot her firat 3d round at 4 and went on her first bowhunt with Gamama when she was 5. Well we had the grandkids this weekend. Jorie is now 7 and still asks to shoot her bow every time she comes over. Today was no different. So today we were out shooting in the front yard and her younger brother Caden who is now 4 and has never shown an interest comes walking out and asks if he can shoot too. I found an old York fibrglass recurve I thought he might be able to pull and gave him a lesson. He did pretty good. Guess I have to make another osage bow     :bigsmyl:

That's awesome Mickey.  It don't get much better than that.  They are a couple of great looking kids.

Forgot to mention while eating breakfast yesterday Jorie spotted this small buck walking thru the front yard, so I took a pic of it and we called it Jorie's buck. Later 2 does and 2 fawns walked thru which she spotted also. So while we were out shooting she says "If a deer walks thru can I shoot it with my bow?" LOL."no hon, it's not hunting season yet".

I think she has the fire down below.

Thats awesome Ferrett.  My little Abbie isnt far behind Caden.  Shes still shooting her little suction cup arrows/bow from 3 rivers but it shoots far enough she can hit my mounted deer and Bear on the wall. Hopefully she will be shooting her first 3d next summer or so.

Thanks for sharin.  I love to see other little girls out there shootin-em-up.

Man!! it makes a guy feel old ta see kids grow so fast, Jorie has grown, and look at her form, just great. Too cool Mickey.

Mickey,
I looked hard for a place to hunt in KY that is closer to home. I never could find anything so i guess i'll set out this season. I may buy my license if i kill out early in ohio but i doubt that will happen.

It's amazing how big Jorie has gotten in such a short amount of time.
