Was out feeding my koi this morning  and my dog comes up to me and says ,what are you doing / Im feeding my little buddies. He said hey Im your buddy. He then said hey stop playing with those things and go calling . So I did.

Was in a peach orchard sneeking along and seen a buck taking a nap maybe 75 yards out in front of me. Put a stalk on it . Got pretty close. Had a archery tag but I was a week late. I shot it in my mind so to me I got him ,I know I could of made this shot

About ten minutes after seeing the buck I had a coyote jump up ten feet in front of me. Had to stop and change pants.  Tride calling in a couple of places but no takers. Went to a spot I haven't hit in a while. Did some rabbit stuff. At about five minutes had one coming strain in got ready . He gets to 15 yards and I miss., He's out of here. So I thought. Runs in a circle around me and sits out there maybe fifty yards out. Nock another arrow when he looks away. Give him some squeeks  and he walks right in again. The goofy thing sits 15  yards in front of me and start cocking his head side to side. Keep telling my self pick a spot pick a spot .Don't look at its face its trying to get to you. The arrow goes just left center of its chest. It turns and goes down gets up and goes ten yards and goes to sleep. Big older male.

where he went down after being hit.

Left a trail.

If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Pretty good set of choppers still. That broad head is two inches long.

Have a feeling it might be another good year.
