I previously posted looking for the Grail in Knives.  The search continues...but these two finished up well enough to do for this season.  That is at least the edges are sharp    Doc

Steel shape on the bottom one is a 'bute.  Top handle is a good looker.

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Iam with DarkeGreen, that top one looks like it would work up an elk just fine. Let me know if you ever want to get rid of it.

Looks like those two should happily cover all bases Doc!

I really don't believe that there's a 'Perfect' knife, I reckon that you need at least 3 to cover all requirements; A small caper, a round bellied skinner & a heavy backed general purpose knife. That's certainly what I'm working towards anyway!

Like Rob says - no such thing as a perfect knife - but that's a good thing, otherwise you would only need one knife, and what fun would that be??
I like the top one!

Be happy to field test them for you Jeff.  :)

Doc..
I picked up a great weathered caribou leg bone for you to use as a stabilized knife handle for your hunt when you do go 'bou hunting...it should make a sweet handle.

I will ship it out next week.

Doc, looking great as always.  Osage sure makes a pretty handle.
