I remember a thread like this last year. Some pretty funny stuff....way better than mine that follows.   Anyone else have any good ones while getting ready for this season??

The crappy old thin piece of plywood I had behind the bag didn't quite do the job..,.neither did the garage door right behind it!!   However, when inspected from inside the garage the tip of the point was < 1/2 inch from the top of the trunk deck on my wife's car!!!       Almost got in trouble on this one.  Thanks to Guru for a good fletchimg job. (Bought that one from him).

By the way, I had quietly moved the car before hole # 2 and now I am using a little better backstop. (Not that I really need it or anything.    :banghead:

Alright...whatcha' got??

Had a bag target setup in the basement and a wide shot caused my wife to ban all basement practice sessions!  You'd think that little 5/16" hole in an old wardrobe cabinet door would've went un noticed!     :dunno:

Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

One that comes to mind right away is when my buddy was helping me trim branches for my stand when he backed up and stepped on his bow he carelessly just set down and broke 4 of the 5 cedars in his quiver. Lots of fowl language and some kind of funky kick boxing dance followed.

I now have a "peep hole" in the wall of my garage, so I can keep an eye on what's going on in the alley.

LB_hntr my dad did the same thing! Only he lowered his bow from the tree stand and when he stepped off the last step he stepped on all of the cedars in his quiver! Man I wish I could have been there to see his face!

When I was living in Army housing, the apartment had to pass inspection before you moved out. You didn't have to re-paint, but there could be no nail holes in the walls. You ever seen a wife who could spend more than a week in a place without hanging pictures everywhere and then moving them at least twice?

I found that Crest toothpaste perfectly matched the pale, government green (teal?) wall paint when dry.

Bet some white silicon calk would make those holes nearly invisible. Nice group for misses   :)

I found out I'm a pretty fair drywall finisher, but I don't want to do it for a living.  That's all I'm sayin   :saywhat:

Yeah....AC unit is right around the corner from the garage.  I eyeballed that spot to shoot for about a minute....then, the thankfully decided against it!!

Took me twice to realize that I might pull an arrow more than once to the same side of the target!     :knothead:

This past winter I had my target in my garage and was shooting from the street into the garage. It was in the dark and I decided to see how far I could go... Went back to about 50 yards and let one fly... The sound of shatter glass quickly brought mire wife outside to see what was going on  :)  ... Missed high left and center punch the garage microwave I stead of the foam target!

I put an arrow through a 1/2 inch gap in the fence...then through my A/C unit. Luckily, I missed the coil

im taking the 5th on this one but ill tell on my grandson...when he was 5 he shot out the window on my horse trailer (didnt think his bow had that much poop)...i thought it was funny (the look on his face) but his momma didn't...i think were both still grounded for that one 9 years later.
