I picked up my like new set of Morrison Cheyenne Max 1 D Limbs that I recently bought at The Archery Shop today.  WOW is all I can think to say to describe these limbs.  For 45#@28" limbs they hit like a ton of bricks, are very smooth, very fast, ultra quiet and are very accurate shooting with either 400 or 350 spine carbon arrows and 125 gr points.

The only question I have that I would like someone to answer for me is "What bow stringer do you use to string these limbs on your bow?"  I have a stringer from October Mountain Products, but the limbs are so thick out near the tips that I'm not very comfortable using it.

Bob certainly came up with a winner when he designed these limbs!       :)

Keith,

I've only put 30 shots or so through it thus far, but I already know the Cheyenne with the Max 1 limbs are the most stable and consistently accurate stickbow I've owned/shot to date.

I have a set on an IlF Phoenix and they are simply amazing as to how smooth and quick they are.

After a week of shooting my Cheyenne with the Max 1 limbs, I'm even more amazed at the vastly improved shooting qualities of these limbs.  Wow is an understatement, IMHO.

I traded for a pair in ILF.  I usually don't shoot recurves...but I agree completely.  They are sweet!

I have a set of 51# Max1 limbs for my Cheyenne and they are awesome!  I've had the best results using a Black Widow stringer. Enjoy!  Randy

Quandry: Cocobolo C Riser or Dymondwood B Riser.  I have the Cocobolo C riser and I hope to pick up the Dymondwood B riser Saturday.

I prefer the looks of the Cocobolo C riser, but I think I'll prefer the length of the B riser.  The D Max 1 limbs yields a 64" bow with the C riser and 62" with the B riser.  For shooting, I think I'll prefer the B riser as that is the length of the recurves I've been shooting for the past 5 or 6 years.  Below are some pics of the B riser:

I knew I had a Selway Limbsaver stringer and I found it on my workbench this morning as I was looking for something else.  It worked like a champ on my bow at The Archery Shop today.  I did have to put a longer string on the two end pieces for it to work on my 64" Morrson Cheyenne!  :)

I have a 28" draw, so which riser would you recommend for me to use with my D Max 1 limbs?

Bob,

I know I could shoot a 13", or A, riser, but I have a B and a C riser.  And I actually prefer to shoot a 62" bow.  In this case, the B riser and D Max 1 limbs would yield a 62" bow.  Did I mention I love your Max 1 limbs?  :)
