Just had to share a couple pictures I took at the house this evening. Stepped outside to do some yard work and in the neighbors field these boys were grazing in the tall grass.

This will get your blood pumping for September.! Great Antler growth these are going to be some nice Bulls come September!

Just to clarify these are "Yard Elk" they are free roaming but not true "Wild Elk".

They hang around here all year, I do not hunt these Elk. They are just really cool to have around.

I go Elk hunting and my wife tells me the Bulls were waking her up in the morning Bugling outside the house. That is just wrong !!

Awesome photos Pat!

Are they coming down from the hills west of you or just hanging out all summer in those lush creek bottoms?

If they don't come when you call them their wild! .....   :biglaugh:

Headed your way pretty soon!

Hopewell Tom

Good one, Snag!
You've got the Elk, like we've got the Whitetail. Pretty great to see.

Felix,
These are the same 4 Bulls we saw when you were here in April. We see them on a regular basis now.

We are blessed to have Elk and Mule Deer that hang around our house all year long.

   Tim,
These Elk have been resident here for quite a few years the fires and drought in 2000 pushed them down and they found the living was easy, grass was green, and nobody bothered them here.
