Hey guys, I guess ill introduce myself, my name is Billy Storms I lived in Long Island all my life. I now live in the Bronx I just got married to the girl of my dreams. And my new father in-law is big into traditional archery. He let me shoot his black widow on a summer trip upstate NY. I really liked it and he said I did really well for myy first time. I was shooting and formed groups of arrows. I bought a new bow just to start off I bought a sasamick sage #45 62" long bow. I want to get a fast flight string for it. What do you guys recommend?   I have some pictures of some of my first time shooting my bow and my father law was impressed.i was at 12 yards.

I would recommend shooting the crap out of the string that came with the Sage...by the time it is ready to replace you will have a better idea of what you want...lots of good string makers out there to chose from or you could learn to make your own

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Welcome Billy, and nice shooting.  The Sage is a good bow to learn on.  Don't sweat the string just yet, have fun shooting.

Welcome aboard!

The string that comes with the Sage is pretty awful.  For a 45# bow, I'd go with 16-18 strands of 8190, 12 strands of 8125, or 10-12 strands Dynaflight '97, or 16 strands of 452X.  Padded loops if Flemish, but either one (Flemish or endless) will work.  Ask for it to be served to fit the type nocks you use on your arrows--you don't want too tight or too loose.
