Don't know is any of you watch the MOUNTAIN MEN show on TV but I do. I was curious that they were adding a new guy this year from Maine. While my wife and I were watching, the new guy from Maine was in the process of building himself a root cellar when a friend showed up. Well, the guy that showed up to  help was Jimmy Dumont, one of the guides at Hunters Point! What a hoot. Laura and I almost feel off the sofa. Jimmy is one of the nicest guys you could ever want to meet. Any of you that have hunted at Hunters Point would remember him. One night my wife didn't come out from her bear stand. Jimmy and I had to go find her. It turned out a mature  bull moose had been at her bait site and he was not a happy camper. The moose had left on her exit path and she did not know where he was so she just sat in her stand until we showed up. It was good to see Jimmy take on a new role.

Jimmy is indeed one of the best guys you could ever be in the woods with.

I saw that too!  Jimmy is great.  I loved riding around w/ him hanging stands, moving stands & stuff. Great guy.

Was he the retired game warden on the show? Great show!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

Yes, Jimmie is a retired warden.

Yes, he's the retired game warden. But don't let his mild  manner fool  you. The night we had to rescue Laura from the mad  moose he pulled out a Clint Eastwood revolver from under his seat. He's nice but he always means business. And when it comes to guiding he really knows his stuff.

I killed two moose with Jimmie- we had a blast on both trips!!!!

David Mitchell

Yeah, Bill, I have seen that weapon!  He is serious when he has to be.
