Excellent read about an excellent hunt! Glad you were able to recover him. I lost one this season that I am 99.9% sure is dead. He flew off a ways and I was unable to find him.

Thats good stuff Don! Way to go! The most shocking part of the tale was when you said that you had actually missed turkeys before! I kinda find that hard to believe!

Thanks guys. Was cleaning up the breast today and found this. I guess someone had shot at this bird earlier. Only one pellet.

Ready for the old grill/ smoker.

and finally the finish of this hunt. Nothing goes better with turkey than a good sec baseball game. SC leading LSU 3-0 in the 9th.
