The wife and I just got home after visiting Jeff (Tippit) and Molly Springer in SC. It was a ball, wish we'd planned two weeks... The main focus for Jeff and I was a Knife Symposium in NC which was a good time with lots of info, meeting new like minded folks and reconnecting with old friends I don't get to see very often. I think a good time was had by all and I have to thank Jeff and Molly for the fine Southern hospitality they showed us.

An afternoon of pig chasing was planned so I was trying some of Jeff's bows since I hadn't brought one of my own. I was just getting ready to let fly with another arrow when up pulled someone I'd been wanting to meet for some time. Benjy Epting crawled out of his truck and headed across the yard. After introductions and hand shaking we resumed the test shooting. The bow I was shooting had a bow quiver on it and Benjy asked didn't I normally shoot a side quiver and produced a couple he'd made. The first was one he'd made from a gator he'd harvested. Then he handed me the second which I started examining then saw my logo emblazoned boldly into the leather.

There was a moments confusion when I thought "that's odd" then I saw the light, mostly the reflection from Jeff and Benjy's teeth...  ;)  Just another example how generous and giving TG folks are.

Thanks again Buddy! I proudly carried it a couple hours later as we headed into the hog woods. No meat was brought home but I truly enjoyed getting to meet and spend time with another great Trad Gang member. It never ceases to amaze me how this site has connected me with some of the finest folks on earth.    :clapper:
