Well....now I just might bring the KB.  I don't have travel case for a 1 pc.  Bill Langer told me that he uses a 6" PVC pipe.  I just might run out to the hard wear store and put something together.

Birdbow

Sean,
Having just returned from True South (see Highlights), Dalton is right. Killed that boar at the Ditch Blind and had 2 very nice red colored dry sows suprise us the night before an hour before the feeder went off. That said, it seemed veryone was seeing/getting shots wherever they sat. Good luck and look forward to a story or 2.

Sean,
Kory, from Milwaukee, a hog hunter, just videoed a big tom at our feeder called the Tripod, yesterday. If we can borrow the footage, Jim will post this along with the short segment of another bird I got at the Double stand. They are sounding off pretty good right now.Hogs are a little skittish so far with a stiff North wind. Still seeing them and hearing them trying to come in.
Three deer sighted too.
Darn good chance you will get some good action if Kent doesn't shoot em all.hahahahaha
Looking forward to meeting you.

I met Kent Zocher Saturday morning at his hotel. After a quick introduction, we headed to the ranch. Irv and I had set a pop-up blind in a back meadow(the one near the Double stand, for those that have hunted with us before). We placed the blind on the advice of Ken Gordon who watched a big tom strut out there the weekend before(while hog hunting).
Kory Kais had shot a nice boar the evening before and we were going to track it around 9:30 am.After getting Kent in place, I met Irv for coffee and waited for a call from the Kais' to go help them track.....

Ooops. I posted on the wrong thread. Anyway, Sean is meeting Irv this afternoon. Irv just texted me that he is sitting in his truck at the back gate and just heard gobbles from two different directions.
Sean's hunt starts later today.....
