Just put in my deposit with Kirk for a build spot.  Please post pics of your Big Foot bows to help me decide on what wood combo to use!

Thanks for your help!

Bob,

Below is a link to the thread I posted on my build.

My wood is some kickin bocote that Kirk had (very special) and the other is waterfall bubinga.

I opted for a wooden I-beam since I'm not shooting heavy draw weight that is beneficial using the G10 'sandwich'.

In the thread, you'll see lot of pictures. I had Kirk do bubinga belly ramp caps, overlay on the back of the riser, and convinced him to use thin veneers of bocote on the back of the limbs and bubinga on the belly.  My limbs are xx carbon/foam core.

I can say it smokes at 47.25# draw at my 28.75"  Enough so I had to bump up to heavier spine arrows over other 45#-50# bows I have!

Have fun!

So nice, Ithink Yea the rosewood , then I look at the bocote and the doubts set in.
Personally I like that rosewood bow better than just about any bow I have ever seen. Its just so classy.

God bless, Steve

Steve,

As much as I LOVE grain and swirl, etc, those B&W ebony w/ black myrtle sure took my breath away that Kirk showed some time back...

So many gorgeous combos out there...

Thanks guys
Triple carbon & foam with bacote veneers under clear glass.

Thanks

Bowwild

Here is a BW Ebony with carbon limbs. The limbs are backed with Myrtle veneers.

Notice the SUH-WEET Bear compass below the grip!

I have two sets of limbs for this one. The bow is 60". The limbs are (at my 26" draw) 43 and 49 pounds.

My avatar is of course tiny but that's one of the results from this past season with this bow.

Here are a couple of my favorites a lot of guys here haven't seen.

GAWD... I may need to go beg money on the streets to order another bow... (NOT!) but there are so many gorgeous ones being show that it does tempt a person to want to own more of them, huh?

Denis, I remember seeing that burl as raw wood once...and when the bow was delivered and posted up. Man that is beautisuckle!

Yea,
Funny story. Kirk had the Burl stump out in his wood pile. I saw picture. It looked like he was using the stump as a chopping block.

Who would have known what  was trapped inside of it
The second I saw it I fell in love and had to have a riser made of it
