We have a long bow season here in La. Opens Oct 1st and runs till Feb 15th. Yesterday myself and a friend were doing some scouting and like always I was packing my recurve. We had split up and I was slipping down the edge of a slough. My friend must have bumped this big ole girl and she ran right to me. She stopped in the right place and I was fortunate to make a good shot. She ran about 60 yards and was done...

Corey,  where about in la are you?  I use to hunt the basin too at one time in my younger years.

awesome !!!  congrats to ya. our season ended thursday but I was about 4 months from getting burned out anyway.  :)  now to chase some small game,stumps,sheds and turkeys and maybe the occasional hog.
