How many of you shoot less in the winter months?

I really enjoy trad archery, but it's hard for me to shoot in winter, unless we get little snow. I live in town with no back yard, and shooting at the local Gander Mt I would be more or less in the compounders way (they want to shoot 30+ yds). I do preform exercises over the winter to keep my archery related muscles strong. Does anyone not shoot, or just less, in the winter months?

Unfortunately, yes I shoot less. Thank goodness for my kids asking me to stump more often.

I try to shoot 2-3 times a week in the basement, it's only 10-12 yards but helps keep my form in check and my shoulder loose.

I shoot all year. Just finished an upgrade to my indoor range in the barn. It is only 10 yd. max. but good for form work over the winter. When it gets warm enough, I shot from the driveway. Even a very short distance shot indoors can be great for you form and strength. Maybe better than shooting at a distance if you really want to work on an aspect of you shot.

I have a fifteen yard range set up in the hay loft of my horse barn. I've been shooting three to five days a week.

I can only shoot once a week in the winter. In the summer I try and shoot 3 times a week.
I do try to 'shoot' at short range in my apartment (about 2-3 yards) a little, but its noisy so I keep it to a minimum.

I shoot less. Fortunately, we moved in August and I am able to shoot to about 11 yards indoors. I just finished shooting for about 30 minutes. Its very convenient, but I'd feel a lot better being able to practice out to 20 or so.

It slows down for me. I can shoot in the garage but it's only a 12-15 foot shot. It keeps the muscle memory up to speed tho. If it's decent I go outside.

I actually shoot more in the winter. Lol. The local bass pro has a 20 yard range indoor. I stump shoot alot now.
Summer time I'm out cruising the backroads on the harley. Not much shooting gets done. More fishing in the summer than archery.

Thanks guys! Since we don't have good accuracy without good form, working on that form, seems to be the most important thing, even if I can't shoot for accuracy/distance. I do have a Bowtrainer that allows me to practice my draw, anchor, and holding with back tension (I just can't release/follow thru).

I shoot MORE - we shoot year round - and hunt steady year round too - but winter weather along with the break after deer season gives me more time to shoot - the time I have to pay attention and 'make' time to shoot is during deer season. We don't get a true winter here - more like 1/3 year fall - 1/3 spring - 1/3 summer - at least compared to upper midwest weather.

At least 4 shots every single day and most days more. Like Cory said, 20 degrees is super cold for here. I got a 12 yard shot in my shop and a big heater. Got a 8 yard shot upstairs in my hallway. and got a 15 target 3d range in the woods out back. I shoot all the time. I feel guilty if I don't shoot. Even during hunting season I shoot some every day. Maybe only a couple shots before heading to the woods. It's just fun to me. DB

I also shoot year round, outside in all weather conditions. I have a portable foam block. Just go find some public land, dig into and out of the way spot and practice. Shooting my bow for me is not an option, I get crabby if I can't let loose arrows for half an hour every few days

I shoot all year long. I may take a day or two off, but not usually more than that.
