QuoteI never would have guessed there were so many beagle lovers on here. I love seeing all the pictures, please load it up with some more.
Beagles are not only great hunters they're great companions. In the early days I kept my Beagles in a pen outdoors. Now they're in the house as part of the family.

Dolly fell asleep reading MBH News.

Here she's looking at her baby pictures on the computer. She's smarter than the average Beagle..    :D

She likes to ride on the Shrewter when we go to the Post Office or the store.

I love rabbit hunting .Here's a pic of Lady with a few I killed with her with my longbow on one of her last hunts. Her and her sister Nelly lived to 12 and 13 yrs.

My family has always had 13 in beagles. My parents used to breed and run/ show them. They are great family pets. Only thing is... They are so darn bullheaded!!! And almost all need to be leashed at all times or there gone smelling something. I was always told ya can't beat a beagle. Literally.  To stubborn. We have had some great ones. I miss my dog Ben dearly. I cried for 5 days when he sipped a disk in his neck. Common with beagles. Should never let the hop off of high things ESP the 10 in beagles. They at sweet!  Thanks for sharing guys

I got out yesterday for the second time this year.  I got to listen to

My brother in law and I used to have a bunch of bluetick beagles, little 9-11" dogs. They worked great in the nasty thick briars and rose bush here. Here's me about 20 years ago with Max,Ida and my brother in law. All 3 are gone now.Really miss hunting with all of them.

Beagles rule. They are the best dogs my family have ever had. I could not imagine not having a Beagle around now.

A lot of the beagle's we had while I was growing up were mixed with bluetic also. We had one that apparently had a lot of bluetic in her. If the snow wasn't very deep, we didn't have to do any rabbit shooting. She would just catch them. Thanks for starting this one Mike!

This makes me really miss cottontail hunting behind a hound.  Beautiful dogs.

Love hunting with my beagles.  Nothing like hearing them all excited running a rabbit.  You can't even say the word rabbit in my house or the dogs fall to pieces.  This is Elmer and Yukon.

Nothing better than the working mans dog......I hunted with a beagle/black and tan mix named Jelly back in the 70's, she was the best dog I ever hunted with! She would hunt all day and then lay by the wood stove and snore all night...LOL!

I had the pleasure of hunting behind Daisy last year at the bunny stomp, what a joy it was to just listen to her. And Roger's not a bad guy himself!!! Hope you guys are making it again this year, had a blast!!! Made me want another beagle myself, maybe next year.
May your arrow always fly true and your hunt be an adventure.
