Hows it going,

My names Jake, I reside in FL currently. I've hunted since I was a youngin', started bowhunting in my teens; now I've decided to make the switch to recurve with years of curiosity beggin me. I currently don't have a recurve, nor do I have one picked out. I'm still reading up on the bows out there and whats the best bang for my buck. I normally have a 28" draw (depending on compound) and shoot around 65#-70# depending on time of year. I'm thinking I want to start with a 40#(ish) recurve somewhere around 60 to 62" in length. I look forward to learning and enjoy readin everyones success story. Thanks for your time, just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome, enjoy the journey into trad.  This is the place to learn!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Awesome, Thanks everyone for the welcomes. I've already got this website in my "favorites" list at home..... and at work!

Duker, were exactly are you in NC? A guy at my station just moved from there, little town in western NC called "Sylva" I believe?

Thanks again everyone.

velvet and nineworlds, I'm currently wayyy south just east of the great lake of Okeechobee in Vero Beach. I've only been here coming up on a year in Feb. due to a career. Praying to be back "home" within this next year which is Ocala/Silver springs/Ocklawaha area...

Nineworlds, I spent about 2 years living with my father as a young teen in Santa Rosa beach area/South Walton? We lived about 5 minutes from the "Mid Bay Bridge".

Thanks again guys, I've definatly got the bug, Just taking my time finding the right bow. Look forward to learning and meeting some good people on here.
