Just got here last night, was able to get a short hours hunt in......tbis morning will be spent doing some heavy duty scouting and setting a couple of stands before the rains hit, then we hit it full force tomorrow!!!!  I am pumped and ready to go, this is the first extended out of state hunt I have been on in fifteen years and I hope to make the most of it.......

We are hunting at Zaleski State Forest, and staying at Lake Hope State Park.  Scouted and hung atands this morning, then the rains came. (Perfect timing). Looking forward to tomorrow morning!!!

The rut should really heat up this week. Too bad youth shotgun is coming this weekend. I will have my daughter out for it though.

Just saw a younger buck harassing some does out in the field near work about an hour ago. I would have thought they would be laid up with the rain pouring.

Good luck David...I just got back from southern Ohio.I had a rough time being able to move in my stand. They jump to the slightest movement but I saw deer on every sit.

I just got back Saturday from Athens county Ohio hunting the Wayne National Forest. We camped in tents the whole week. The deer movement was really slow with very little chasing activity. Lots of pressure from crossbow hunters
Maybe this week will be a good one for you.
