Mr. Bones 2012

Greetings to all of you stick n string pullers out there!

What an awesome community of people! I can't believe I just now found this place! Its refreshing to see so many hard working, earnest people being respectful and loving toward one another in these troubling times our country is going through.

I live in Caswell County, NC off of Hwy 150. I have had a passion for archery my entire life but I have never gotten out there and killed anything. I have been hunting with guns, but I really want to know how to do it all. I need to be the kind of man who has the skills to make everything for himself and his family should the need arise. The future is so uncertain and I need to be strong for my family and country. I thank God for all my blessings. You never get more than you can handle.

I work from home online and I also freelance in the Film industry working on movies, commercials, documentaries and the like. I do a little picture/sound editing and website work as well. I'm 25 years old and working toward the future. I love the woods and animals of all shapes and sizes have always loved me from lions to elephants to the neighbor's mean dog, I've always had them come right up to me and greet me with affection. I love them and I love this earth. I only recently decided I needed to know how to kill, clean, butcher, cure, and prepare my own meat, so I've been out this year learning everything I can to that effect. I thank you all for your kind words of wisdom and advice. God Bless You!

The acorns and other fruits all dropped at the beginning of October around here and I'm just not seeing any deer except on the side of the road or in people's front yards in town. A few pre-rubs are in my woods but no scrapes and no plentiful food source. The other properties and farms around my land were planted with beans and corn, but its all brown sticks now. I put out corn in several areas and I hope the rut happens soon so I start seeing some activity.

God Bless!

Welcome from Iowa...and those "brown sticks" that you refer too might not look too appetizing to us, but I promise you the deer love them, specially after the combine goes thru because it leaves a bunch on the ground and it's easy pickings for the deer and turkeys too!

Hello from Arkansas. I've been here about two months and have not found one bad thing yet. These folks have been helpful with a snakeskin project I'm working on. Pictures are coming soon.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

I dont have a traditional bow right now, just a set of wheels. When I get paid again I will be in the market for a cheap$, but strong, consistent shooter to get me started again, RH 50-65# @28 inch draw.
