Barry, I think I gotta agree with your wife on this one.  :p

My wife goes with me but doesn't hunt herself.
Still wouldn't trade her for a thousand new bows!  :)

THE ADMIRAL used to.  She dropped a six-point buck with a shotgun and that was it for her.  She leaves it to me to drag the groceries in now.

Mostly it's the cold and lack of civilized toilet facilities.  ;-)

She does join me occasionally to shoot the 3-D bag targets I have hanging around with her light compound.  Too light for hunting, however.

Mine doesn't hunt but knows I love it and understands I need to have a few days in the woods just to get some time alone ...As I get older I find I get less chances to hunt cause we have recently started our family by adopting children and in the middle of adopting number three with special needs...I have started taking our girls to a range a few times and so far they love it and I pray that later in life they love our sport and when they get married they would also enjoy archery with thier husbands and hunt.camp, fish and do all things together as a family...By this we also as men should go to a Mall, shop, pick up groceries, help do house chores as well so it ain't left for the lady to do everything in the house and raise our children on thier own...I have found when I do house chores and let my wife know I want to go hunt, shoot my bow or tinker on some arrows in the shop she is willing to see me go enjoy those things...If your wife doesn't hunt, camp or enjoy the bow then that's o.k. cause we were all Created differently ...God Bless,

Mine went out with me once on a scouting trip. She thought it was very interesting but as far as hunting...No way, No how. It's to early or it's to cold. It's what I do and she accepts that.

IMO you guys that have spouses or girlfriends that hunt with you are truely blessed.

My wife loves to camp, and spent 7 days in elk camp with me this year, and she is very supportive of my passion, but it isn't for her. She loves the outdoors, and has seen lots of sunsets, but very few sunrises!

My wife loves to hunt...mostly in the evenings and although she is very good with a bow, prefers the bangstick. She has offered to video for me several times.

Tracy loves to bow hunt and is quite successful at it. She knows how to put meat on the table.

My wife does not shoot a bow at all, but she hunts with a rifle, and is has brought home a lot of meat for the freezer.

My wife says she can't hunt because if she did she would out hunt me...She could never hurt the poor animals though. If you have a wife that enjoys hunting with you,I believe it is rare and you are blessed!

Ditto that.
She does love camping though but she will recuperate at the spa afterward!!!   :bigsmyl:

My girlfriend's land is twice as good as mine...and she is right there with her father and me placing stands, cutting shooting lanes, and planting plots...Heck she even came straight from work in scrubs back in July to help me finish hanging a lock on...The heat index was near 110 that day, but she didn't complain a bit, just kept asking when she could sit in the stand! ha ha

I don't think it's super common but those girls that do, sure make guys like me feel like a lucky man!

I know a lot of hunters here and only know of a few wives that actively hunt full time.  It is a rarity here.

My wife just know started hunting. She is enjoying it so far. We went squirrel hunting the other day and had 2 yearling whitetails feed up within 15 feet or so of us and stood staring trying to figure out what we were. When they finally moved off she looked at me with a huge grin and whispered "That was SO COOL".
