The mulies are winning so far. I have been close to bucks from 150"-170", but I could never close the deal. The wind switches at the last moment, or another deer blows out, and the stalk is over. I won't give up. I have hunted elk only two days so far, and won't hunt them again until I shoot a deer. What is it about spot and stalk mulies?  :help:

I know what you mean Shedrock. I stalk to 60 yards of a big 6x6 mulie last night in a corn field. When the sun went down the wind went with it. Very quite in a very crunchy corn field. Oh well it was still fun to have an opportunity like that. Good luck this season!

I know the feelin'. It is a real accomplishment when you can get past those radar muley ears and get to within bow range. Especially when they are big boys.

Heck Tracy, if it was easy it wouldn't be near the fun. Good luck brother!

I got on a group of bucks last year: one of them a real dandy. I had an elk tag in my pocket but couldn't even think of elk so long as those bucks were stalkable. We know you can kill a mulie Shedrock...just a matter of time

I am sure there will be blood on an arrow soon.  I think spot ans stalk hunting for mulies would be just about as fun as it gets.  Good luck!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

From what I've seen from you on this site, I'm just waiting for the story of another monster.  :campfire:    :coffee:

Yep, I'd say time is short for one of those mulies.

In my opinion, setting out to hunt mule deer is the hardest bow hunt there is.  good luck.

I'm taking tommorrow off work for the last three days of archery season. It ends the 30th. If I don't get one this weekend, I'll be out with bow in hand during the gun season. The bow way, or NO way.

I have been hunting with one of my Ferret recurves and can hear Herb yelling at me. He hates it when I hunt with one of his "crooked" bows. Maybe it has been some bad luck?  :archer2:
