Lets say you could have only one...

Matched spine or matched weight?

The variable would be extreme lets say... 20 lbs spine variance and 75+ grain variance.

Which would you choose.

Spine....we're 100% in agreement here.  How awesome is that???

Thanks for posting this.  Still trying to get all this right...when you say matched spine, that would mean when everything is added up, point weight, length of specific shaft, etc that the ending spine weight would end up in the "zone" or within the 2# variance on the dynamic spine calculator??

I appreciate this and appreciate the input from those of you more experienced in tuning your arrows!!!

spine...
75 grains isn't extreme.

my question is...Why settle for either?

I think you need a different shaft supplier....   :)

75 grains will make squat on trajectory inside of 25 yards.

20# spine will make a ton of difference inside the same 20 yards, even at 10.

Spine no doubt.  At normal hunting ranges (for me), the weight won't matter that much.  If I knew I had drastic weight variation, I just wouldn't shoot very far.  Heck, I don't shoot very far as it is, and my shafts are close in weight.  But spine affects everything.
