Hybrid longbow & Semi recurve What's the difference?
Who decides what's a longbow & what's a recurve?
And what's a Sasquatch takedown with the hybrid limbs?(my new bow which I love)

Killdeer

I am no bowyer, but see no real difference between semirecurve and hybrid bows, just the origin of the terms, SR being coined in the fifties/sixties, and hybrid being coined when the limb style was 'rediscovered' in the eighties or nineties.

Classification for competition is that a longbow's string does not touch the bow past the string nocks, whereas a recurve string rides the curve until the bow is drawn.

Killdeer
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
