Me and Colotrad did some scouting for bighorns this weekend.  It was a great trip.  We saw 400+ elk, a handful of deer, about a dozen antelope, 2 bull moose, 22 rams, 14 ewes/lambs and a lot of nice country.

I envy you.

My hunts are made if I just see a sheep or goat. I took a goat many years ago in North Western BC and when I elk hunt in Colorado I make a few trips where there are goats and sheep just in the hopes of seeing one.

I guess you have a tag this year. I hope you score and I can't wait for this story and pictures.

Good luck

Nice country.
Is there an age/curl restriction for rams in the unit you are hunting?
Less anger, more troubleshooting...

I have a ewe tag, had the ram tag last year and didn't fill it.  Steve/Colotrad has a ram tag this year.  It is a half curl minimum for a ram.  It is looking more promising this year.  Last year I only saw 7 rams through all of my scouting and hunting.

Love that sheep country. Any more pics?

I found out I drew a ewe tag myself last week but I know where to go. Good luck with your hunt.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Daz

Right on. We only have 6 ewe tags for the entire province, so i'm always counting rings or bisecting lines...

Good luck!

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

What a great way to spend the weekend!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
