I'm in the middle of making 2 dozen of these....Ray Lyon gave me the recipe for and "All Hardware Store" arrow.

Outstanding Surewood Shafts from Braveheart Archery (I didn't hardly have to straighten any of them), MinWax stain front and back, with Sharpie cresting, and a wiped on (4 times) MinWax Urethane sealer....steel wooled after each coat. They are flat, dull, and not shiny at all. I think this may be my "official pattern"....   ;)

The Whittler

The critters will be lineing up to get shot with those arrows, very nice.

Roger Norris

Thanks. The pics don't show it well, but the front 1/2 are a chestnut brown, the back end are a golden oak. Kinda subtle, but I think they are pretty.

Heres mine, just meat and potatoes, but they fly true and consistent, cant ask for more than that.   [/IMG]

By the way, great looking shafts Roger, wish I still had that kind of patience.

Roger Norris

Nothing wrong with meat/potatoe arrows Moleman. I shoot carbon a lot!

Schafer

I'll be shooting some 7595 gold tip traditonals. Still trying to get them to fly just right. I think I finally hit the magic point weight today with 250 grains plus 100 grain brass inserts. For a total of 750 grains.   :goldtooth:

Since I did not get even one shot last year, my 2012 arrows are the same as my 2011.     :(

I'm on snags waiting list for some new ones!!!!

I'll be using these footed beauties - they used to be some real ugly, battered arrows I had laying around until Matt Gundock (Magnus) was kind enough (as it was more work than building new ones!) to take them on and refinish them for me!
They fly like darts out of this 62 Kodiak - and they hit like a sledge hammer too!

Killy, what is the design between the crests?
Is it painted on, decal, wrap.........?
Will
Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

Killdeer

That is hand painted. Kind of a fake Persian script/floral effect.
