Thanks for sharing this, Brandon.        Not going to be quite as convenient when mounted on a wood shaft but will work just as well.  I'm looking forward to trying this technique and slipping an Interceptor between some ribs this fall.

Yep. I sharpen them with a KME. Works great.

Thanks for the video I will have to give it a try

TTt answered a few questions on this so pull it back up, just in case u cannot tell I still have the head in the jig on the strop this allows me to keep the same angle also I do have some yellow stone crushed up on my strop for good measure.

That was a great video on how to sharpen a Simmons broadhead.       I've never shot Simmons heads because I could never get the curve of the head sharp.

In my opinion, this video should be made a Sticky because this method will work with other broadheads with similar design.

Have you all tried one of the half moon shaped files and maybe a round ceramic stick. I would think that would be better than a flat one.

If you buy the little sharpener off their website, it looks like two little wheels.  You can get sharks scary sharp in a matter of minutes.

TJ, I tried the half moon files, Jewel stick and a smaller diamond stick and couldn't keep a consistent angle on the bevel. Of course, wasn't using the KME either! I can get the landsharks fairly sharp with a small flat file, 5" I think. Just picked up a RADA sharpener and in a matter of a couple of minutes I've gotten them to hair plowing sharp. Got bald spots all over my arms and legs to prove it too! LOL

I'm not sayin this is the best/only way to sharpen a simmOns but instead just making use of what we have most are terrified of the simmons heads bc no one wants to drop more coin on special this n thats. This will make the kme perfect for any 2 blade heads.

That wheelie they sell on their website is only $8.95 and can be used in the field for ease of transport.  The KME is a great sharpener I was just saying you can get them hair popping sharp with this inexpensive little tool.

I use my KME and the oval ceramic rod. Clamp the BH in, hold the KME in your left hand with the roller pointing up and work the ceramic rod. I start with sand paper wrapped around the rod to get that first edge and finish with the rod only. Works great

Thanks for posting, I just got my tigersharks pretty sharp. I thought I was gonna have to buy the kme knife sharpener.

Thanks Much! Was just getting ready to call Ron for a knife sharpener also, when I found your little jem. Tried it with a chain saw file, and they are scary sharp!
