I'm looking forward to a unique hunt this weekend at my hog property. Kuch(Chad Kucherawy)and son Eli plus Ryan "Twistedlimbs" Gill and friend Dax McCaleb will be chasing swine.
Chad and Eli will be using their trusty Bear Takedowns and Ryan and Dax will be shooting selfbows and stone of Ryan's making. The hogs are in trouble!

awesome stone points! i'd love to hunt with some but they're not allowed in colorado so far as i know. If your stone poits perform well, would you be willing to sell some in the future?
Now then, get your weapons, your quiver and your bow and go out into the open country to hunt some wild game for me.- Genesis 27:3

And Ryan has so much ice in his veins after winning a tourney and finishing 2nd in the Florida State archery tourney in the longbow division that he might need to wear some wool just to keep things equal....my money's on him getting the first one for sure.

Thanks Jim,  yeah we are going to be getting after them, thats for sure.  This trip I will be using an "adjusted" seminole style bow i made out of Florida Pop Ash with all hand tools, Florida privet arrows and Pinellas stone points i knapped from Ocala, FL chert.   after making all my gear for the hunt I weighed everything for fun and statistics.
bow is just about 60# @ 25"
privet arrows are between 615- 640 grains (points included)
stone points are about 50 grains each. 7\\8 wide and  1 1\\2 long  (give or take a little )

Jim,

I am super glad that you and I were able to secure this lease. I enjoyed spending several weeks there this past Winter getting it set up with you for us. We both did a lot of improvements to it so far, and the hog hunting has gotten so much better because of it. It surely was fun for me to help guide Ryan and Dax on their last trip. I wish I could be here for this one, but WI is a bit far. I'm bringing my grandson later this summer though. Summer hogs are great fun too!

I really marvel at Ryan's skill in building the self-bows, the heads, and also the tent of his design had my camera popping.  Best of luck to you guys and I am sure Jim will be calling me as the weekend progresses.
