these veneers are going into a stock bow that im planning to take to the baltimore shoot. one of many im planning to have on the rack.  what do you think of them?

james, its spalted maple. have enough to do quite a few bows.  i'm gonna leave this ese veneers light, but may stain the next ones.

possomhead, its going to baltimore in 2 weeks, but if it doesnt sell, it will be at the howard hill shoot.  its gonna be a 60" siren. shooting for 48-50#.

Spalted wood is beautiful. Good choice, should turn out tom be beautiful.

That is some killer spalted Jim.
As I am sure you know, it will darken a bit when glued. I did a spalted maple bow with just a hint of hickory brown stain washed over the top and it was relly cool. The light staining really set off the spalt lines.
Can't wait to see your bow.

Pretty and dramatic. The thing that's so nice about maple is how you can do just about anything you want with it on color. Very nice.
