Hi,

i am currently trying to use a EFA strap on quiver on my BigJim Thunderchild but no matter how tight i pull the straps the quiver keeps moving on the bow.
Especially the lower part slides down the limb after emptying and reloading the quiver for about 3-4 times.

Anyone else had this problem or any suggestions for a solution?

Thanks alot,
Axel

Axel,I use a Kanati Pro strap on quiver on my TC.I have never had a problem with it moving and I shoot it alot without arrows in it.No problem with arrows in or out.I doin't know other than pull it tite.

PS.I think your English is Great.

The design of those bows make it tuff for any 2pc. to stay put...

Just get a hold of Don at EFA and convert your quiver into a "Totum" model...it connects the top with the bottom, rock solid and still light as a feather!

Get one of Big Jim's quivers they are well made, simple design, and hold tight.

Axel, I'm not familiar with Big Jim's bows, but I can't imagine a bow that this quiver wouldn't grip tightly. How wide is the limb at the fadeout? Narrow limb bows are harder to fit but anything over 1" wide should be a cinch.

Questions that I would ask are: Are you putting it on at the fadeouts, not up on the riser? When you pull the velcro through the buckle are you keeping tension on it until you fasten it to itself?

I'm with guru on this! Your emptying your quiver and reloading, the arrows help hold  the quiver tight, the totem will  hold it all together even with a empty quiver!!  And make sure you have the straps pulled tight on the fade outs!!!

I can't help you with the EFA, but I know that I don't have any problems with my quivers sliding on my TC's.
By the way, I will have a angle bracket system for my quivers shortly also.
Just working out the construction process.

good luck, bigjim

I have used a Thunder Horn and a Kanati angle quiver with no problems on my TC ... I do make sure the straps are as tight as I can stretch. I have a 2pc 56" ....

There can be some movement with the 2 piece EFA under certain circumstances, but the totem system will make it rock solid. Follow Curt's advice and you will be a very happy bow hunter.

Have the 2 peice EFA (totem), with angle bracket on my 56" Shrew CH..works perfect. If it works on my CH, should work on the TC.

Yep, convert the EFA with the Totem system or get yourself a Kanati Angle Pro...

Thanks for all the advice.

@ 2fletch:
The TC has very short fade outs so the quiver always sits somehow on the riser, wich means it sits at a place where the limbs are getting thinner in width and thickness wich is probably the problem. And yes, i hold it tight till i pull it down.

@BigJim:
Ive had one of youre quivers and liked it alot. Only downside i.m.h.opinion was that the cap (upper part) could flex back and forth becuse of the relatively small touching area between the cap and the rubber attachment.
Unfortunately my brothers young dog chewed the attachment straps through when no one was looking.

PV

Had the same trouble with my EFA on a bow similar to the TC. A friend showed me this solution. Double sided foam tape under the straps.  No more slipping

Rustic

I added some adhesive ace bandage to my bow limbs. It holds the top and bottom of my EFA Mini
pretty good.
Bear Montana Long Bow 50#@28"
PV Longbow 48#@28"
Bear Grizzly Recurve 45#@28"
Darton Trailmaster Recurve 35#@28"

easy short and cheap solution:wrap rubber bands around the limbs up against the quiver--robber o-rings work also-- and this will keep it from slipping. Works perfect.

TexasStick81

I use an EFA strap on quiver with my thunder child and I haven't had any problems.  I don't think I've had to retighten it once when shooting. I'm not sure what to tell you though.  Good luck.

I've done what Huntryx has done except I put the quiver on the rubber band. I use the wide ones.
