Anybody use these shafts from whispering winds?If so how do you like them?Do they make a good hunting arrow?
HH Cheetah 66in. 48lb at 25in.
HH HalfBreed 66in. 57lb. at 27in.
HH Wesley Special  56lb. at 26in..
HH Big 5          64lb. at 28in.
HH Wesley Special 55lb. at 28in.

I use and like the footed ones.

I bought a dozen shafts from Bob three years ago - still shooting them.  I haven't had any problems but I tweaked them every step making them up.  I used Daly's ProFin to seal and finish.  They have stayed straight and held up well.  Follow Bob's advice.

years ago i used hexpine shafts quite a bit.  the work just fine, but within short order i moved over to solid wood shafts such as surewood doug fir or hildebrand sitka spruce - these woods just just feel "livelier" than glued up hexpines, and are just about as durable.  ymmv.

Just something about glued up wood that doesn't seem as good as solid natural wood shafts. I know the whole thing about laminated beams are stronger than solid wood beams....but these beams don't have to flex around a riser either.
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.
