Why a GN Bushbow?

Kinda on a "D" bow kick right now.  I've got a Dwyer Original coming any day and have had more than a few guys recommend GN's Bushbow.  I'm needing a take down longbow (prefer 2 peice), and with the jacknife option the Bushbow would fit.  For those of you who've appreciated one, what was it about that bow in relation to others?  Thanks.

I like mine it shoots realy well and they fit my kind of shooting pluss they are super pretty to look at

German Dog

What JakeFr said.

Also they are very forgiving. Not sure where abouts your at in Wisconsin but if you really wanted to try a couple in different weights your welcome to shoot mine.

I like the Critter Gitter better, but not a lot of difference between them.  CG has narrower, thicker limbs and is a tad faster IMO.  But, it's a personal choice thing.

I had a 62" Bushbow with a locator grip. For me, it shot where I was looking, was smooth as a 68" D bow, was very spine tolerant and best of all - it was the quietest bow I've shot to date.

I recently went to Great Northern and shot every longbow model they had before deciding which to order.  All models shot AMAZING but in the end I settled on a LiL Creep.  The bushbow was a close second...real close.

Thanks for the info.  I'm real anxious to shoot this Dwyer, as I got to demo it at the Wis. Trad banquet, but after packing in for elk last year with one peice bows, there was a definite need for a takedown option which unfortunately Dave doesn't offer.  I've had a few 3 peice longbows, but as time goes by the elegant simplicity of a bow such as the bushbow really speaks to me.  I don't do 3-D shoots for score, I just want a no-nonsense bow that's quiet, convenient and does the job.  Thanks again for the input, and if my draw is just shy of 29" which length should I look at first?

I had a Bushbow for a short time, and I realy don't know why I sold it. Very nice bow.

I love the jack-knife option. I have a Critter Gitter that has the system.

maxwell

Can't beat the jacknife system- works every time  and no lost parts ever.   I like the fireball model.

could someone post pics? the only pics i have seen are the ones on great northerns website

Hi guys
Figured I'd throw in my 2 cents worth.
I owned quite a few Great Northerns. All with the standard broomstick grip. The critter gitter were really nice and quick but for some reason the bushbow just felt 'right'. If I'm not mistaken I think I bought it off paradocs[thanks by the way].
Anyway I cleaned out my 'collection' lately and the bushbow remained and became my backup bow. Must say something.
The bow is everything what a hunting bow requires from me and I'd recommend one to anyone. Here's a few pics.  Enjoy

The critter gitter in 64" and jacknife would be my recommendation
